Night Despository   Acme Night Depositories now meet or exceed ADA's accessibility requirements set forth by the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design. The introduction of a patent-pending hopper-style, manually operated after hours/night depository meets or exceeds the new pull requirements outlined by the 2010 ADA Standards. The new patent-pending design needs less than 5 pounds of force at any time throughout the entire opening cycle to effectively conduct a transaction. According to the new standard, depositories installed on or after March 15, 2012 must ensure that the force required to activate operable parts shall be 5 pounds maximum. Drive-up-only depositories are exempt from this force requirement. The new unit is designed for use on new installations, but it also can replace most existing hopper-style depository units that have been installed in the past 20 years. This includes hopper assemblies, such as those used in the NCR 5285 Business Depository, as well as other various style heads from other manufacturers.
